Student Leadership

Student leadership at CCA is an extension of our commitment to preparing students for life — and that preparation begins long before high school.

In the elementary years, older students are already learning what it means to lead through serving. Fifth graders read to younger classmates, play games alongside them, and act as ambassadors for Operation Christmas Child, helping connect our school community to a wider world in need. These early experiences are not incidental — they are intentional, planting seeds of responsibility, compassion, and servant-heartedness in young leaders while they are still being formed.

As students grow, those opportunities deepen. We provide intentional experiences at every level for students to develop confidence, responsibility, and character while learning to serve others well. Through age-appropriate leadership roles, students take an active part in shaping school life, strengthening community, and building skills that will carry them well beyond graduation.

Middle School Student Leadership

Middle school students lead, collaborate, and shape school life through the Student Leadership Council (SLC). Open to students in grades 6–8, this volunteer group empowers students to share ideas, take initiative, and represent their peers.

Student leaders produce a weekly newsletter, keeping the middle school community informed and connected. They also plan and organize student events, including themed spirit weeks and dances. Through these activities, students gain experience in communication, teamwork, organization, and creative problem-solving while preparing for future leadership roles in high school and beyond.

High School Student Leadership

The High School Student Leadership Team (SLT) is made up of appointed students committed to positively influencing their peers and strengthening the school community. These student leaders mentor classmates, model responsibility, and foster a welcoming, inclusive culture.

Student leaders design and lead quarterly events and launch the school year through the Anchored Retreat each fall. Through collaboration and service, they help shape the traditions and shared experiences that define student life at CCA. Participation develops confidence, accountability, communication skills, and responsibility—preparing students for college, careers, and meaningful leadership beyond high school.

Community Service & Engagement

Service is a vital expression of faith at CCA. Students live out Christ's call to love and serve others through community service opportunities. Past opportunities have included spring clean-up projects at Christian summer camps, doing home improvement projects for neighbors who are unable to do their work themselves (painting, yard work, roofing, etc.) and volunteer work with organizations including Live and Let Live Farm and CARE. These experiences help students develop compassion, humility, and a heart for service rooted in biblical values.
