Middle School: Growing in Leadership

Middle school is a defining season of spiritual and personal growth at Concord Christian Academy. In Grades 6–8, students begin to take ownership of their faith, strengthen meaningful relationships, and step into emerging leadership roles. Through intentional retreats, milestone experiences, and purposeful service, they develop resilience, compassion, and Christ-centered confidence as they prepare for high school.

Each fall, students attend a retreat at The Wilds of New England, where dedicated time for worship, reflection, and relationship-building deepens their faith and community. The experience culminates in the 8th grade trip to Cape Cod—a week of shared worship, fellowship, and reflection that marks an important transition into high school.

Service and leadership are central to the middle school experience. Students move beyond participation to ownership, leading initiatives that impact both the Academy and the broader community. Sixth graders oversee Operation Christmas Child for the secondary division and contribute to elementary chapel programming. Seventh and eighth graders collaborate on service projects such as hosting a walk-a-thon for diabetes research, mentoring younger students through reading partnerships, supporting local clean-up efforts, and assisting with school-wide outreach initiatives.

Within the daily life of the Academy, students cultivate responsibility by serving their school community—tutoring younger students, assisting with programs, preparing for school events, and supporting missions efforts.

By the time they enter high school, CCA middle school students are not only academically prepared—they are growing leaders equipped to serve with integrity and purpose.
