Elementary Experiences: Building a Strong Foundation

In the elementary years, a strong foundation is built as learning comes alive through joyful discovery, meaningful service, and Christ-centered community. Students experience faith in action through hands-on learning adventures, enriching field trips, and age-appropriate service-learning projects that are thoughtfully integrated into the curriculum.

Each year, every elementary student participates in at least one service-learning project designed to cultivate both personal and spiritual growth. These experiences help students discover and use their God-given gifts.

Students engage directly with the organizations they support—either by visiting community partners or welcoming representatives to campus—allowing them to see firsthand the impact of their efforts.

Service projects include:

  • Collecting and packing gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
  • Gathering food and non-perishable items for the CenterPoint Food Pantry.
  • Overseeing the Academy’s campus recycling program.
  • Partnering with The Salvation Army to collect hats, mittens, gloves, and blankets for families in need.
  • Supporting Rise Again Ministries in providing essential items for the homeless.

Past service projects have included:

  • Creating Christmas gifts, performing special concerts, and visiting residents at Havenwood Heritage Heights.
  • Collecting supplies for high school students to take on the international mission trip.

Through these signature experiences, CCA elementary students learn that service is not an event—it is a way of life.
