Waitlist Policy
CCA strives to create an atmosphere of availability and welcomeness for all applicants. Although each application is not a promise of acceptance and enrollment, we take each application into strong consideration and move toward the best decision for each student applicant. In the event that we have reached capacity at any given grade level, we do have the following waitlist policy:
- Waitlists begin at each grade level when they are necessitated. These lists are generated on an annual basis starting at the beginning of the Admissions/Enrollment Season at the beginning of January for current families adding a sibling and February 1st, for new families. At this time, if the continuous enrollment of current students causes the class to be at capacity, a waitlist will be generated based on the date of inquiry.
- CCA does not carry over a waitlist from former years to subsequent years. In order to re-establish intent to enroll in the next school year, parents must submit an Online Inquiry for their new student during the open enrollment window listed above. Once a grade has reached capacity, a waitlist will be prioritized on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- With an active waitlist, if a student withdraws and a place becomes available, the family will be contacted via email to alert them of the open space and they are invited to begin the application/academic interview process to assess if CCA is the appropriate fit for their student. In the event that a spot becomes available, there are two exceptions to our policy that could compromise a family’s waitlist position; 1) If CCA hires a new faculty/staff member every effort is made to make sure their children have space available, and 2) if a current family would like to add a sibling, every effort is made to keep the family together at one school.
