Boys Basketball
- Middle School
- High School (Varsity and JV)
The CCA Boys Basketball program develops elite, adaptable playmakers through the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA), creating a learning environment where growth occurs through perception, action, and problem-solving. Our coaching staff is committed to developing student-athletes who are competitive on the court and strong leaders in the classroom and beyond. Following the model of Jesus, leadership is demonstrated through service rather than dominance, prioritizing individual growth alongside team success. Student-athletes commit to high team standards within a culture of accountability, learning that excellence requires humility and obedience while growing in their relationship with Jesus.
Head Coach Greg Farland is an experienced basketball coach with tremendous dedication to the game. He emphasizes strong fundamentals, disciplined defense, and team-first play while fostering a culture of accountability, effort, and respect. With over 250 wins, Coach Farland believes that developing Christ-centered athletes on and off the court is more important than victories. He is committed to helping players grow as competitors, teammates, and Christians, preparing them for success in basketball and in life.
Girls Basketball
- Middle School
- High School (Varsity and JV)
CCA girls basketball is a Division I–level athletic program which requires students to commit to a demanding way of life. Student-athletes respect coaches, follow team standards, and live within a culture of accountability. Growth occurs through repetition, success, failure, and perseverance—forming discipline and resilience both on and off the field.
This environment naturally develops servant leadership in a competitive world. Student-athletes learn that authority carries responsibility, and that excellence requires humility, obedience, and faithfulness. Jesus redefined leadership as service rather than dominance, modeling these same values throughout His ministry.
These principles are lived out daily:
- Team captains serve their teammates rather than seek status.
- Star players are held to higher standards of humility and accountability while investing in others.
- Coaches model authority as care and responsibility, not control.
Coach Carlile and Coach Smith have built a team known for their exceptional ball movement, motion offense, and aggressive man-to-man defense. They emphasize fundamentally sound, team-oriented basketball.
