Kindergarten Readiness (KR) Program
Students must be 4 by July 31st
Our KR Program offers a joyful, hands-on introduction to learning in a Christ-centered, loving environment. Children grow academically, socially, and spiritually as they explore, discover, and engage with activities including Bible, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, art, music, Health & Wellness, and PE.
Guided by Christian values, our curriculum balances teacher-led instruction and play-based learning to nurture each child's God-given gifts, foster curiosity, and build character. Children learn not only about the world around them, but also about God, themselves, and how to serve others.
Learning at CCA extends well beyond the classroom! Throughout the year, KR students enjoy a variety of special experiences that make childhood truly memorable. In the fall, they visit a local apple orchard, and field trips to the SEE Science Center in Manchester spark wonder and curiosity. Students may also attend performances at the Capital Center for the Arts for the annual elementary play. Cherished traditions include a sweet Mother's Day Tea, career days where parent volunteers come in to share their occupations, and a heartwarming reenactment of the Christmas Story — one of the most precious highlights of the entire school year.
We also know that little learners need time to move and recharge! Students enjoy two recesses each day, and after lunch, they settle in for a restful reset — resting on individual cots while soft worship music plays and the lights are dimmed. Some children drift off to sleep, while others simply rest quietly, refreshed and ready for the afternoon ahead.
