Spiritual Formation at CCA

At Concord Christian Academy, spiritual formation is at the heart of everything we do. Our deepest desire is for every student to grow into the person God created them to be — not simply by learning about Jesus Christ, but by cultivating a personal, living relationship with Him. Our administration, faculty, and staff are wholly committed to walking alongside each student through mentorship, prayer, and partnership, intentionally weaving faith and learning together so that every child leaves CCA not just informed in their faith, but transformed by it.

We strive for students to:

  • CONNECT to their peers in an authentic Christian community.
  • GROW holistically and in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  • IMPACT their school and community in positive ways.

Chapels are developmentally appropriate and fulfill an important role in CCA's Christian culture. Elementary students meet weekly for worship and character-building-themed chapels. Middle and high school students also join together weekly, with pastors from area churches and gifted speakers sharing in the teaching. Interspersed throughout are mentoring groups divided by grade and gender.

At CCA, character development is woven into the fabric of daily school life. From the earliest grades, students are intentionally taught and encouraged to reflect the character of Christ in how they treat others, handle challenges, and carry themselves in the world. Through age-appropriate lessons, meaningful conversations, and the consistent example of caring faculty and staff, we seek to nurture young men and women of integrity, humility, and compassion.

We believe that authentic community is essential to spiritual growth. Our peer groups provide students with a safe, encouraging space to share life together, ask questions, and support one another in faith. Led by trusted faculty and staff, these groups help students build meaningful friendships rooted in Christ and develop a sense of belonging within the CCA family.

One highlight of CCA's spiritual formation program is the twice-a-year Spiritual Emphasis Week, featuring daily chapels and special class activities centered around a meaningful weekly theme. These dedicated weeks create a unique opportunity for the entire school community to pause, refocus, and encounter God together.

Every fall, middle school students participate in a retreat to The Wilds of New England. The high school year begins with the Anchored Back-to-School Retreat, which encourages students to ground their lives in Christ and sets a faith-filled tone for the year ahead.
