Second Grade
Our second Grade program fosters academic, spiritual, and social growth in a Christ-centered environment. Students continue to strengthen reading, writing, and language skills while learning to read for understanding and gathering information. Math skills expand to include addition and subtraction with regrouping, measurement, geometry, fractions, telling time, money, and an introduction to multiplication and division.
Guided by Christian values, students explore science and social studies, deepen their Bible knowledge, and participate in projects that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and character development.
The second grade classroom is staffed with a full-time teacher and a full-time aide, allowing for small-group breakouts for leveled reading and math instruction. This dedicated support ensures that every learner — whether accelerated or in need of a little extra help — receives the attention and encouragement they need to thrive.
