Rebecca Carlile and Matt Smith
Girls' Basketball Head Coaches
Head coaches Rebecca Carlile and Matt Smith have led the Kingsmen girls basketball program to unprecedented success, capturing three consecutive NHIAA state championships — Division IV in 2022, Division III in 2023, and Division II in 2024 — followed by a Final Four finish in their first year competing in Division I, a second place finish in Division I in 2026 with 13 consecutive playoff wins spanning multiple divisions. Strong advocates for seeking competition, Coach Carlile and Coach Smith have partnered with CCA's Athletic Director and Head of School to petition the NHIAA to play up in higher divisions — ensuring their teams are challenged at levels commensurate with their ability, a commitment that mirrors CCA's academic standards.
The program is known for exceptional ball movement, motion offense, and aggressive man-to-man defense. Their emphasis on fundamentally sound, team-oriented basketball has produced remarkable results: players regularly earn All-State honors, and the program has developed both a 1,000-point scorer and a 2,000-point scorer — one of only six girls in New Hampshire history to reach that milestone.
Coach Matt Smith
Beyond high school basketball, Coach Smith coaches girls AAU basketball for MCW Starz in the P24 & S40 Select Circuit. Over his 14-year coaching career, he has helped more than 50 players find opportunities to play collegiately, including four CCA players at the Division II level. In 2026, his daughter Emma became just the sixth girl in New Hampshire history to reach 2,000 career points.
A former collegiate player at the Division II and Division III levels, Coach Smith comes from a quality coaching pedigree. His former coaches include Scott Flemming, currently director of the NBA Coaching Academy in India, and Mike Wells, head coach of the Australian professional league Adelaide 36ers.
Matt’s coaching philosophy is centered around developing his players on and off the court. Lessons of discipline, hard work, overcoming obstacles, sacrifice, and learning how to be a great teammate are all life lessons that transcend sports. Matt’s primary goal is to help his players understand the most important thing they can do in their life is to follow Christ.
Coach Rebecca Carlile
Coach Carlile served as Head Coach of the girls basketball program at Concord Christian Academy from 2019 to 2025, leading the program to three NHIAA state championships and a steady rise through multiple divisions. During her tenure, the team improved from a 2–16 record in her first season to multiple 17+ win championship seasons, including a 20–1 campaign, and advanced to a Division I semifinal in 2024–25. For the 2025–2026 season, Coach Matt Smith and Rebecca swapped roles, with Rebecca stepping into the Assistant Coaching role.
Coach Carlile's coaching style emphasizes fundamentally sound basketball, disciplined defense, and unselfish play. Her teams are known for ball movement, getting the best shot, and defensive pressure that creates turnovers. She values composure under pressure and has built a culture where players work together as family—including her own daughter, Lilli, who played for the team and earned a full basketball scholarship to Lee University.
What sets Coach Carlile apart is her commitment to player development in high-pressure situations while maintaining team unity. Her teams consistently perform their best when it matters most, rising to challenges and executing game plans with precision.
A former collegiate athlete, Coach Carlile played basketball at Southern Nazarene University, winning two National Championships. She is also a stay-at-home mom of three, with two children who are graduates of Concord Christian Academy.

As head coach of CCA's girls' middle school and JV teams, Carrie has built a program known for developing skilled, competitive players who excel both on the court and in the classroom. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes quality instruction, maximizing each player's potential, and pursuing excellence in all areas of life. Under Carrie's leadership, CCA's basketball program has grown into a competitive force that develops not just skilled players, but Christ-centered leaders prepared for life beyond the game.
Beyond her role as Athletic Director and head coach at CCA, Carrie has extensive coaching experience with AAU and travel basketball teams. She and her husband Matt—co-head coach of CCA's girls' varsity team—have five children who play competitive sports, giving them deep appreciation for the dedication required from both athletes and families.

Girls' Basketball JV and Middle School Coach
Ali grew up in Goffstown, NH, where she fell in love with basketball at age 6. She made varsity as a freshman for the DI Goffstown Grizzlies and played AAU for the NH Lady Wolverines, experiences that shaped her understanding of competitive athletics and team dynamics.
Her coaching journey began in 2020 with the Hopkinton Youth Sports Association, where she led the HYSA Hawks to four consecutive championship appearances and two titles in the league's highest division. In addition to her role at CCA, Ali co-coaches an AAU team—the Cobras—during the off season, a project she leads alongside her co-coach as part of their own organization. Now in her first season at CCA, Ali assists head coach Carrie Smith with both the girls' middle school and JV teams—a natural fit since her daughter has attended CCA since fourth grade.
For Ali, basketball is about far more than wins and losses—it's a training ground for life. She believes athletics offer a powerful counter to our instant-gratification culture, teaching young athletes the value of perseverance, hard work, and delayed rewards. Her goal is to develop well-rounded individuals who are mentally tough, confident, and prepared to lead both on and off the court. Whether it's pushing through a tough practice, learning from a loss, or celebrating a teammate's success, Ali sees every moment as an opportunity to build character and empower the young women she coaches.

Jacob Lippiatt
JV Boys' Basketball Coach
Jacob is no stranger to the demands of competition, the discipline of training, or the joy of being part of a team. While he is already a valued member of the Concord Christian Academy faculty, he has also stepped into the role of JV Basketball Coach.
Mr. Lippiatt's athletic roots run deep. In high school, he was a standout multi-sport athlete, competing in swimming, football, and track. On the pool deck, he was nothing short of exceptional — a four-year varsity swimmer, three-time state qualifier, two-time team captain, and four-time All-State honoree. He carried that excellence into college, swimming at Wheaton College where he earned All-CCIW honors in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and contributed to championship relay teams, including a first-place CCIW finish in the 200 medley relay.
What makes Mr. Lippiatt such a natural fit for coaching, however, goes beyond his résumé. It's his genuine enthusiasm for sports, his heart for mentorship, and his belief that athletics are about far more than winning. As a teacher, he already pours into the lives of CCA students every day — and now, he brings that same dedication to the basketball court. His goal isn't just to develop players; it's to develop young men of character, resilience, and faith.

His coaching style balances high expectations with encouragement, creating an environment where young athletes are challenged to grow while having fun in the process.
Basketball runs in the Carlile family. Colby's mother, Becky Carlile, co-coaches CCA's girls' varsity team alongside Matt Smith. One of his younger sisters graduated from CCA in 2025 and now plays Division II college basketball for the Lee Flames in Tennessee, while his youngest sister currently plays for both CCA's JV and varsity teams as a freshman.
As a recent graduate himself, Colby brings a unique perspective to coaching—he understands the challenges his players face and serves as a relatable role model who commands respect through his knowledge of the game, genuine care for his athletes, and commitment to developing well-rounded young men prepared for success both on the court and in life.
