High School (9-12): Purpose and Leadership
Welcome to the rigorous and Christ-centered world of CCA's High School program, where young men and women are equipped to pursue excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, and most importantly, in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Grounded in purpose, leadership, and spiritual formation.
Our faculty and staff challenge students to reach their highest potential while developing critical thinking, strong communication skills, and Godly character. Our Dual Credit college preparatory curriculum is both academically rigorous and Biblically grounded — with 18 on-campus and unlimited online dual credit courses available, students can earn a year or more of college credit before graduation. We also prepare students for life beyond the classroom through Life Skills and Personal Finance courses covering everything from budgeting to hands-on skills like changing a tire. At CCA, we don't just prepare students for college. We prepare them for life.
Spiritual formation is central to the high school experience. Students gather for chapel every Thursday, featuring worship led by the high school worship team and guest speakers who challenge and inspire. The year begins with the Anchored Back-to-School Retreat, grounding students in their faith and setting a purposeful tone for the year ahead. The Student Leadership Team (SLT) empowers appointed students to mentor peers, lead quarterly events, and shape school culture — developing the confidence, accountability, and communication skills they'll carry into college and beyond. Service is equally important, with students volunteering through organizations such as Live and Let Live Farm, CARE, and local summer camps, living out Christ's call to love and serve others.
CCA's NHIAA-sanctioned athletics program develops student-athletes from elementary school through varsity competition, with many earning collegiate athletic scholarships. Grounded in six core pillars — academic rigor, character, leadership, sacrifice, school spirit, and sportsmanship — our coaches develop skilled competitors and well-rounded individuals prepared for success on and off the field. The fine arts program offers opportunities in visual art, music, and performing arts and performs one major production each spring in CCA's state-of-the-art auditorium. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, there is a place for every student who wants to participate.
Student life at CCA is rich with traditions that build community and celebrate school spirit — from the Back-to-School Party and Homecoming bonfire to the Sophomore Trip and the Senior Trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Senior year culminates in a Senior Tea and a formal dinner at the Outer Banks, where teachers honor their students in the spirit of Christ's servant leadership — a beautiful send-off as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
