Welcome! We are excited that you have come to our website to seek out more information about the CCA International Student Proram. We have been educating International Students for several years at various proficiency levels. In the past 3 years we have increased the quality of our program to address the specific needs of students -- language training, academic challenge, host family setting, peer-to-peer understanding, spiritual formation, etc.
This year we have increased our language training program to include a student focused, comprehensive ESOL program. Please review the overall International Student program description below, as well as the many items on the right side bar, which include Admissions paperwork, as well as the ESOL Course Desriptions.
Program Description
At Concord Christian Academy (CCA) we are daily engaged in the pursuit of "Shaping the character, expanding the mind, and loving the child through the scope of our Mission which is Building Integrity and Modeling Service.”
CCA offers a Christ-centered English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program that allows International students the academic opportunity to increase their English proficiency while being fully immersed in American culture. ESOL English, English Lab, and English Bible are offered along with appropriate content-based classes and electives, such as music, art, and computer. The focus of the ESOL classes is to communicatively teach English through reading, writing, listening and speaking using task-based curriculum, computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and God’s Word. Our ESOL teacher holds a Master’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Educational Technology, is TESOL certified and is presently pursuing a Master’s degree in TESOL.
High School graduation credit is given for these classes. Participation in extra curricular activities and after school sports (soccer, basketball, baseball and track) is encouraged. Students also have the unique opportunity of living with a carefully selected American
Host Family during the school year.
At CCA, because of our dedication to the educational and spiritual needs of each student, we provide a loving, authority-honoring, drug-free atmosphere. The students learn the Scriptural basis for living a moral lifestyle that honors parents, family and God. The spiritual life of the school is integrated into every facet of the curriculum and daily instruction. Students participate in Chapel, Service Learning projects, mission trips, day
retreats, 8th grade Cape Cod trip, Spiritual Emphasis week, etc. Students learn to see the world through the lens of God’s Word.
