LOOKING AHEAD: THE FUTURE VISION AT CCA
In the Spring of 2006, after nearly 30 years of affiliation with First Baptist Church of Concord (now known as CenterPoint Church), Concord Christian School (CCS) was fresh on its way to becoming a transformed entity. In July, 2006, with an inspired, determined Board of Trustees behind it, CCS was released to independence by CenterPoint Church and renamed Concord Christian Academy.
So much has transpired since that day. Countless people have earnestly prayed for God to bless this school over the years and kindly, He has. In the last year alone, doors have opened for CCA to build on its 30+ year legacy and expand its vision, its programs, its school offerings, and its facility/property options.
We are currently in the process of purchasing the former Centennial Senior Center at 37 Regional Drive in Concord. At the conclusion of the closing process we will begin moving in, preparing for school to begin on Tuesday, September 4.
Here's a little history: On April 4 we were granted a variance from the City of Concord to use the present building and surrounding property for the development of a Pre-K through 12 Christian school. We also received permission to construct an Educational wing/Gymnatorium which we hope to place in the open area behind the school.
In addition, we have purchased 30+ acres on Route 106 for the immediate purpose of sports fields. The property is a 7-minute drive from the proposed facility on a beautiful lot where we will have locate our soccer, baseball, and softball fields. The preparation of the fields will take some time, though we are hopeful that perhaps they will be ready for Fall Sports in 2008. Back to the list of topics
CURRICULUM
Our goal at CCA is to partner with parents in providing a Christ-centered education that is both scholastically excellent and Biblically distinctive. We are fully accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), providing classes in the following for every student: Math, English, Social Science, Studies/History, Health and Bible. In addition, each student attends the following Specials: Computers, Spanish, Art, Music, and Gym.
In the early grades (K-2) we mainly utilize Abeka Books materials. Although this is a Christian curriculum, its strength with regard to phonics is the main reason we choose to use it as it is well known for its thorough coverage of this foundational element. In grades 3 and up, we utilize a variety of curriculums, secular and Christian. We have selected the best of the best in each concentration, applying a Christian worldview in the teaching. Among these are Prentice Hall, Holt and Rinehart, and Winston, Curriculum Associates, etc.
It is our desire to raise up students prepared to one day encounter a world in their workplace and neighborhood which they will understand and are well equipped to respond to with love. It is in these formative years that this kind of training, in tandem with the efforts of family and Church, take full root.

CO-CURRICULA
We have a full sports program offering opportunities for 2nd graders up to High School. These include Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track and Field, and Speed Stacking. We have an excellent program particularly given the size of our school. You may read more about it at the Athletics link.

CHARACTER AND COMMUNITY
In a culture where "having the most stuff" is the goal for many people, at CCA we press the model of Jesus Christ -- who lead by SERVING. In a culture where Truth is so up for grabs, we press the message of Jesus Christ -- which gives PURPOSE to the human soul. In a culture where divisions of values, ethnicity, and status keep people from engaging with one another, we press the life of Jesus Christ -- which death COULD NOT hold back. His mission was to reveal LOVE and the power of FORGIVENESS.
These core themes are interwoven into the daily routines of each day at CCA. Like any school, misunderstandings and hurt feelings occur among students. But we aim to deal with them quickly, with a goal for resolution. Where students are experiencing personal challenges whether academically, emotionally, or relationally, we want them to feel the care of adults and students around them (the heart of their Heavenly Father). When there is a success in sports, or other notable achievements, we celebrate them as God's grace to us.
You may read about highlights pertaining to each of the grade levels by clicking on the appropriate school age designation in the right side bar links (Elementary=K-5, Middle=6-8, High=9-12). Many of your questions should be answered within these materials. Please read through the information carefully and, if you have further questions, e-mail or call our office T 228-8888. We are glad to be of assistance.

ENROLLMENT
Currently 117 students are enrolled at CCA ranging from grades K-9. In August 2007 we will be adding not only a Pre-Kindergarten but the 10th grade as well. With the provision of a new facility and fields, we expect the enrollment will grow substantially in the next years. Our Admission process is well underway already this year. To date, we currently have 188 students enrolled (up from 116 at the close of school in June). The interest in the school is high, particularly in the new Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. APPLICATION & TUITION
Our 2007/2008 Admissions Packet is now available with updated Tuition Schedule, and other enrollment information. Submit an Online Inquiry and we will get one in the mail to you (at no obligation), or download and print a Student Application or Pre-Kindergarten Application here.
Please carefully read through the whole packet. There is valuable information for those who need Financial Aid, as well as a full explanation of our limited time only Legacy Scholars program. Also take special note as you look at our tuition rates that it is an All inclusive rate which include before and after school care as needed (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM) through our Quest Program. Families love this program - parents and kids alike.
Students get their homework done before going home, after which they are able to do Arts and Crafts with volunteer parents and our Art Teacher, do research on the computer it the Lab, or play board games. We look forward to having opportunities to expand the after school offerings as our Alliance program grows.
Thank you for your interest in Concord Christian Academy. It is our prayer that the Lord will grant you wisdom and direction as you seek His will for the education of your child! We are here to assist you in any way necessary as you walk through the process.Back to topics
